Another vote for the 10-22. Get one and shoot it first before you go changing barrels and triggers. Out of the box, mine is way more accurate than I'll ever be.

I've got a Bighorn and I like it. I was just finishing sighting it in yesterday and can make 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards no problem. I'm shooting 100 grains of Pyrodex with a 300 grain Hornady XTP...

I hunt in Red River County, Texas and also in Cass Co., TX and kill several hogs a year. I'm sure we're like Texasaggie in that we're covered up with them and they are a blast to hunt. Good eatin'...

I just started my Rat Terrier on squirrels earlier this year. Let me know if you find some good info., since I'm in the same boat as you. Anyone else huntin' with Rat Terriers?

I'm gonna agree with the majority. I've got a Winchester 94 Trapper 30-30 and have used the 170 grain Remington Core-lokts on several hogs with great sucess.
