Excuse me, I am sorry you feel the need to respond in the way you did. No, I don't know anything about your land, but I do understand ballistics. Projectiles aren't influenced by nationalities btw.

RE: Safety first (pics)

Yep, a solid sand backstop would work. A sand wall, at least a yard wide will stop a riflebullet. Clean, sharp-edge grained sand that is. The kind of sand used in concrete is perfect for the purpose...

RE: VINTAGE BOLT ACTIONS (NAGANT 7.65X54R OR MAUSER 8MM) AND WHY

I say this is a close call, it depends on both the Mauser and the Moisin nagant. I would pick a Finnish Moisin Nagant over any Mauser, but virtually any mauser over a Russian Moisin Nagant.

RE: What would you do if you were in my shoes???(Rifle Selection)

I suppose it would depend on what your intended purpose with that new rifle is going to be. The choice of caliber is best decided by what you need it for and since you don't mention...

RE: How is the Marlin 336?

To the best of my knowledge, a 444 is a model 1895 in .444 Marlin, so yes, the name is the difference when you ask me.

Marlin lists a few "groups" on their site, and the 444 is amongst the 1895...
