RE: bore sighting?

You won't regret buying that boresighter. I have two, one that uses barrel spuds for the serious work and a magnetic one to pack along on hunting trips just in case. Both do the job I intended for...

RE: .300 mag..is it powerful enough for elk??

I believe that if the shooter does his part and learns his firearm well the .300's will serve him just fine . By the way my cousin's husband's uncle uses a .30/30 for elk in Idaho but I under stand...

RE: Mossberg Bolt action rifle?

I looked at one about 2 weeks ago and I think it looks nothing like a 710.Much sleeker in appearance and feels more like a real rifle than the 710. All metal action and bolt, no plastic except for...

RE: Hornady Dies..how good are they?

I have a set in .223.I'd say they are as good as any and better than most. I believe they are the Pacific brand renamed.

RE: Which Flints work best for your rifle?

I use German jasper cut flints while hunting and english flints most other times. The jasper flints have a sharp striking edge that doesn't flake or chip off.

RE: Hard Trigger on Traditions

Try taking the lock off and look for a small adjusting screw on the sear. My nephew had the same problem with his Traditions but we (I) fixed it in about 10 minutes. Use a little prudence and common...

RE: Primers, not working!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure the firing pin spring is clean and free of any grease and dirt buildup. Had a similar problem with my BSA years ago. It's amazing how dust and dirt can find its way into such places.

RE: Scent-Lok importance

I believe it all depends on where you hunt. If you hunt an area with much human activity I think it doesn't matter as much as if you hunt in the deep woods. I had an experience once when duck hunting...

RE: What rifle cartridge destroys the most meet on deer?

I've had the .30/06 ruin very little meat and I've also had it ruin about 1/3 of the meat of a deer. I think its a case of where and what you hit on the game.

RE: Favorite fish to catch???

Whatever's biting that day, but if I'm after a day of fun it's going after bluegills with my 5wt. fly rod or my ultra lite spinning rig with 2lb. test line.

RE: Anybody hunt with a 45-70?

I use a Ruger #3. Haven't shot any thing with it yet but I know if I hit it it's mine. Very accurate and very hard hitting at both ends.
