The older non magnum calibers were great..they did the job...I found the .358 in current production in BLR...it is sweet, light, and does the job.and a lever to boot!!

I have the BLR in both the 308 and 358/ Neither one are uncomfortable to shoot, the recoil is well handle witht the stock configuration. Both are MOA shooters at the range. Both have nice one shot...

For my 2 cents... I think the 308 or 358 are rerally good choices. I have the medel 7 in 308 and the blr in 308 and 358, none of them have recoil that should bother you, and the rifles seem to fit me...

right out of the Nosler reload book...WW748 i think it was 48 gr. will give 3000 fps..it works fine with no sighns of excess pressure, and is right acurate to boot!! i get MOA with my model 7 and blr.
