RE: Rating Manufactures

1) Hoyt (Yes, the Cam and a 1/2 is the top of the line, beat your pants off, Mathews doesn't have it, and also quite cute and cuddly trait)
2) Mathews (Been around since dirt, most...

RE: What gear are you gonna buy before this season?

Er, I sure would like a new XTec. And a GKF Golden Premier. Hey, a new bow needs a new rest, right? And if I'm getting a new bow and a new rest, how about a new Trophy Ridge Nitro sight? And if I get...

RE: Why do you shoot YOUR choice of bows ?

Don't see too many Hoyt's represented here; so I guess I'll try to boost them!!! ;) Nah, I'll shoot about anything - I just happen to own a Hoyt at the moment. (Not a big fan of Darton though, had...

I've got a Trophy Ridge Matrix Micro, 5 pin - set at 20, 30, 35, 40, and a 100 yard pin just for messing around in the backyard.

RE: What is your favorite arrow rest and how long have you been using it

Right now: Bodoodle ProLite 500. Like Hidden Hunter says, Simple, Reliable and Accurate.

I'm looking to try a GKF Golden Premier this summer just for variety when I have a little more time to...

RE: Aluminums???

I'm new enough to have started with carbons, because they didn't bend and break when I missed so I don't have that much experience with aluminums. This summer I'm shooting Easton aluminums to see how...

RE: Is your Dealer QUALIFIED???

When Hoyt came out with their Cam and a 1/2 system a couple of years ago, I was looking to upgrade from my MT Sport that I had learned to shoot on. Being rather naive and having the wrong ideas about...

RE: Some pics to share for my freinds on the huntingnet.

MATTHEWS,

Those are some really nice pics. I read that you are in the Marine Corp, just want to say thanks for what you do for our country. Good luck, and Semper Fi !!

RE: Indoor Range Target Construction??

Len,

That's interesting to me, I never heard of the actual target wearing out. Is it just the covering of the guts of the target or is it the guts themselves that is wearing out? Like I said...

RE: Indoor Range Target Construction??

I bet if you contact Morrell they will afford you a quantity discount on their 'Eternity Target,' and if you'll do a little advertising for them they may shave a little more off. The target itself...

Products to better your bow?

Ah, well, a Hoyt for starters... :D:D

Naah, just kidding. Mathews makes a fine bow. Looks like you have it all there, you might get a pro to help you set it...

RE: move the rest wich way?

I understand what you guys are saying, but if your bow isn't paper tuned wouldn't that problem be exaggerated with a broadhead? I don't know that moving the rest so that it lines up with the sight...

RE: move the rest wich way?

If your field points are grouping well and and hitting dead on, you'd be better off to move the sight rather than the rest. If you move your rest you are throwing out the paper tune and your arrows...

I've only had experience with one in particular. I tried the Montana Black Gold Trap Door drop-away rest on my RazorTec and my SuperTec. I'm not sure if you're familiar with it, but it doesn't work...

RE: Mechanical Releases BANNED!!!!

I'd still shoot, though I'd have to back the poundage off on my RazorTec. I don't think my fingers could hold up to as many shots as I put through my release!!

RE: Carbon Arrow for Hunting?

Unlike Danny45, I've had pretty good luck with my GoldTips, I've had a few that were a little warped but the vast majority were straight. However, I think I have been pretty lucky judging by a few of...

RE: Need Help Quick...

I agree with huntmup, once you get used to the long shots the short ones feel like you're right on top of your target. I also agree that you don't need to change equipment on such short notice....

RE: The more expensive the bow the better

RE: How many broadhead tipped arrows do you take hunting?

As they say, good things come in threes. So I always carry three arrows: a G5 Montec, a NAP Razorbak and a Wasp Jakhammer all 125 grain, all mounted on Gold Tip 55/75's. I try to get a variety so...

PLB,

RE: Gobbler Guillotine

Actually, they fly pretty well if you do a few things in advance. You want to get an aggressive helical when you fletch your arrows. I didn't buy the shaft that they market, it's an Arrow Dynamics...

RE: not counting drop aways, what is the best arrowrest on the market?

Bodoodle ProLite. I like it better than even drop aways, which I never had much luck with. I'm getting Robin Hoods right and left with it. Just put a little nail polish or wax on the fins, and its as...

RE: Any opinions on the Ultra Nok? Do you use them? Hate Them? Opinions?

I've heard that they take a little speed off. I don't really know how much, but in our shop you'll be hard pressed to find one around. A string loop works just as well and it is quieter and (!)...

RE: Best arrow?

For carbons, I shoot the Gold Tip 55/75 XT's and lately I've found I really like the Easton X7 as an aluminum, even though it is more of a target shaft.

RE: your favorite whitetail broad heads and broad heads for big game?

I've seen something called the Razor Ring broadheads advertised, I'd like to try them. Has anyone else seen them or tried...
