seriously, I've always heard a turkey can't fly all that far. their body weight and size is probly the main reason. I don't figure they could fly much over 1/2 mile, of course...

your right, the food sources are scarce this year. we didn't have many acorns here at all.

I agree Ruger. I have put out corn in late season before, when the acorn crop was down, and not much for the deer to eat. I just don't bait in early season or durin the rut. I think it's a good thing...
