Congrats on your homemade spinner! I made my own too and it works great. It doesn't take much money to build a fairly good one. Here's a pic of mine.

RE: thinking about switing to fixed broadheads.

Personally, I like 125gr Thunderheads too. I have never had one fail. They can be a bit hard to tune out of fast rigs. Muzzys are also a good choice.

Good to hear of your success! I love the Thunderheads and once you get your bow tuned they do fly so well. Good luck this season. I would much rather shoot fixed blades, you never...

RE: Tuning Crimson Talons

LOL!! Sadly though the truth! However, this sounds like a tuning issue. You need to lower your nocking point, completely tuning your bow would be the best thing you could do. Follow 5...

You could be torqing the bow some due to fatigue. Or, your rest or sight could have become loose. Check your screws, and take a day off and see what happens.

RE: Helical vs. Offset

Very well said indeed! However, if you have your bow tuned really well you can still have very good accuracy using fixed blades and offset fletching. But, when you shoot that same broadead and...

RE: Now what? Broadhead/Tuning question

No, centershot would still be off some. The arrow stabilizes quicker with a field tip verses a broadhead. Basically the broadhead ends up fighting the fletching to steer the arrow if centershot is...

RE: Now what? Broadhead/Tuning question

In reality they don't have too but I feel a lot of archers miss out on accuracy potential. If your broadhead groups are tight but to the left or right 2-3" at 25-30yds you can just resight to your...

RE: Now what? Broadhead/Tuning question
