RE: matthews or hoyt?

As a good friend of mine says...it is not the bow, it's the indian. However, my girlfriend's sister is women's world archery champion and a hoyt prostaffer (Erica Anschutz). I've seen what she can do...

RE: What kind of deer hunter are you?

RE: How many have shot mature bucks they've seen before?

I'm a wildlife biologist, and I think "maturity" depends on your definition. If you are talking reproductive (over-the-hill)maturity, 3.5 would suffice. If you are talking pure and simple mega antler...

RE: How many mature bucks?

Saw proabably 11-12 mature ones this year. Didn't shoot any though. I only hunted with a bow, but if it doesn't beat my biggest one to date, I don't shoot.

RE: How many have shot mature bucks they've seen before?

RE: Quebec Winter Caribou Hunting

I just got back, we quartered all of ours and had no problems checking them in. I would get them into your vehicle. If they are as far on trans-taiga now as they were when we were there last week...

RE: Quebec Winter Caribou Hunting

The way I figure, we will getinto Nouchimi late at night on the 21st. If we had a way to get the key to our outpost camp we would stay there. The problem is my friends' flight lands at 9:00 AM on the...

RE: Quebec Winter Caribou Hunting

If the migration is heavy you could probably shoot them off the porch. A bull cariboucan go 450 pounds, but I would say 350-375 is about average.
