Sometimes the blood trail will be there but so sparce that it is almost impossible to follow, but usually it is there, very easy to get caught up in the excitement and misjudge where the animal was...

Clear fingernail polish works great and also seals the spurs cap to the bone so you don't have to worry about it falling off years down the road as everything drys out and shrinks up a tad

Just about any mix you dump down your TK is going to come out pretty good, just be sure to use some kind of filler if you don't fill the shot cup all the way, ( check it by filling a shotcup by hand...
