Mossburg 835...What length barrel?

Ready to pruchase one but I am researching barrel lengths. My son has a 20" bbl and his is wicked killing birds 50yds + I'm sure..

I can get a 24" bbl at a great price...

Are you using oil? Regular gun oil or other petroleum products will cause black powder/pyrodex/777 to misfire or hang. Best to use bore butter or plain ole crisco..and go light...
