I personaly shoot any doe or buck. i'm in a t-zone unit where i have two extra doe tags along with a buck tag

I usually wait at the very least 45 min but prefer to wait closer to an hour. If u go to soon you'll jump the deer and make it harder to track.

i also hunt in wisconsin and I've noticed that the can calls do not work as well as others. i personally use a woodswise 6-in-1 buck-n-doe combo call. this call works great and is not to expensive.

If i was you i would use a rifle. It also depends on the caliber you are shooting. I shoot 165 grain 30-06 and i have no problem with brush. also my dad shoots a 30-30 which is a really nice brush...

I've noticed in the past few weeks that the bucks up near antigo are starting to come into rut. during the t-zone my party saw 4 nice bucks. one of which was with a doe.

I'm 16 and have been carrying my own gun since i was 12 which is the legal age in wisconsin but have hunted since 6 with my dad and grandpa.

I personaly use 7 1/2 shot from either a single shot 16 ga. or 7 1/2 or 8 shot from a 5 shot semi auto 12 ga. hope this helps
