RE: Ruger 204

I was just wondering on the accuracy of the 204 vs the 243. I have a 243 Model 70 varmint rifle and I love it for accuracy and range and I was just seeing if the 204 has anything worth paying for...

Ok I have a 243 Winchester model 70 with the target barrel and heavy forehand for bench shooting. Anyway it was used by my grandfather for groundhogs back in the 60's. He passed in August and I...

RE: Hornady SST performance on deer

Yes I agree the shockwave and sst are amazing on deer. they give great accuracy and the damage done is plenty to kill a deer. I havent had all my deer drop like some say they have but if they only...

Well if he was under your stand as one post said, you wouldnt have to shoot far as that thing is crazy big. I like to bowhunt more then anything but that looks a little big to be 30 yds away from;)

RE: vanes or feathers?

Feathers are better. Make noise when brushed up on clothing, and are a pain when it rains but they fly true. And really that is the biggest deal, if more accurate shots are possible then thats why...

They now have a crossbow season during archery season in MD. It is only a few weeks and I think it ends just before the rut kicks in good, but my dad bought one this year and killed a decent 8pt...

RE: Your opinion on the easiest killed deer in the woods.

Yeah hard to say, a button buck or 1 1/2 year old buck seem to be the easiest to have in range. They seem to travel alone more often and have less eyes watching as a herd of does can be the most...

RE: TC System 1 Twist rate?

I would say the twist might not be optimal for sabots but a previous post proved me wrong. A T/C gun is a good gun no matter the model.

RE: Advice On Muzzleloader?

I would say to spend the extra money on a T/C or a Knight. Look for deals if $ is a big issue. Its better to get a good rifle to start then second guessing your choice later on.

RE: bullet Question

If you change the bullet the POI can also change. Although this is more likely a change in elevation as the bullets should fly striaght.

RE: Scope ?

Yeah adjustments are for where the bullet will hit or POI. Make sure you check the distance you are shooting for how many clicks are need to correct the POI, usually 1/4 inch clicks at 100yds.

RE: T/C Omega vs. CVA Optima Pro 209 Magnum
