RE: VERY interesting.....

I once killed a bull moose with my 12ga Remington double useing a 2-3/4" highbrass with #6 shot at over 40 yards!! I wouldn't go moose hunting with that same gun and load though!

I heard about...

RE: Bullet Damage...

The problem with answering your question is, we don't know the exact construction or velocity of each of the bullits you asked about. So, all of the answers can only be "general" in nature.

What you say is true "untill" the first shot is fired!! From that point on "that" case will headspace on the "shoulder" "IF" it's resized properly!! This is why the cases are made...

RE: another new caliber

I don't know "if" we really need it, but i'm a big fan of the 5mm rimfire Remington made in the 70's, and it sure performes great! I still have one of the tube feed rifles, and several boxes of...

Did Remington say what they did to the rifle?? Was it a bedding problem????

RE: Belted Magnums

akbound,

I remember when they came up with that "not so bright" idea. They also claimed it added more strength to the base of the case. Some called in "magnumized".

That may be true,...

RE: Which Caliber For 9yr Old

If your "stuck" with factory loads, i'd go with the 260, if you handload, i'd go for the 7-08.

I've shot a lot of game with a .243, but bullet choise is a lot more important with a .243 and...

RE: Core-Loct fails me again!

Just because a style/type of bullet works in one cal/weight, it doesn't mean it will work in all the others. SO, if Cor-loks work in a 30-06 for example, that doesn't mean they will work in a 7...
