I gut in the field. It makes easier to drag out, feeds other animals, and when it decays it goes back into the earth.

There is a public area in the Days Cove/Hammerman area of the gunpowder state park off of Ebenezer Rd. There are severel lanes set up at different ranges. You have to bring your own...

Need help with bow purchase

I was wondering if anyone has heard on the Tundra Carbon 3-D by continental archery inc.. I have the oppertunity to purchase this bow for $150.00. It is used and it will be my first bow.

My buddies and I saw 7 does running but couldn't get a safe shot off. There was alot of shooting in the monocacy river area but I didn't see any signs of anyone draging any out.

Any last minute advise?

Maryland has a two more firearms days left, today and tomorrow. I will be out tomorrow. The weather is going to be a cold 28 degrees. Any last minute words of wisdom.

Who here is from Maryland.

I live in Towson and hunt in Cunningham Falls State Park off of Baugher Rd in Frederick county. This is my 2nd yr hunting. This year I got my first (doe) and second (sike) deer on opening day.

I talked to the butcher and RiverBottomBowHunter was right it is the little tenderloins underneath the spine.

Meat Question

I just got my deer back from the butcher and one of the packages had Deer Fish marked on it. Does anyone know what part of the deer this is and how to cook it.
