Doc is right on! A PROPERLY FF'd dog will not be dropping birds. If you tell him to fetch something ......a can , a brush a stick.....he better fetch it. No Exceptions.

I use alot of pigeons for training! They are easy to find and cheap. Do you have a hunting preserve nearby? They can be an alternative to areas short on upland birds.
