Don' t like the stuff. I' ve found shot embedded in deer that I have killed during the blackpowder season, which precedes general firearms. The guys at the hunt club use 4' s over 00.

Did the same thing on the opener of blackpowder. Went in with a doe in mind. A pair came through a shooting lane, shot the one I had a good shot on. Turned out to be a button, I was dissapointed...

Take a dog. My lab does a good job. Worked her today on a deer shot yesterday evening. Once I lose the the trail I just follow her from the last spot of blood. She found the next blood 200yrds...

Knight Wolverine- Hornady sst 300 gr/ 100gr clean shot powder. Worked very nicely last weekend. Shot a doe at ~50 yrds went 30 yrds and dropped. My pattern has tightened up with the sst as well.:D

Shot a buttonbuck opening morning, thought it was a doe. A larger buck was with it that I did not see until after the shot. Meat in the freezer though. Had a big 6, an 8, and a fork horn come by...

No kidding, I lost a few pints of blood to the skeeters that should be dead by now. Makes it hard to sit still while hunting near the swamps.
