I don't think that it hurt the bow, reason being, you still had a arrow in the bow, and I don't think a 100gr or 125 gr field point will make that much of a difference. And like you said, it shot...

I like to be in my stand at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours before sunrise on opening day, after that I will be in my stand about a hour before sun up. that way It gives the woods time to settel back down.

I was out and about last night around 6:00pm and I saw more deer than I could count, there were several fields with at least 15 to 20 deer in the herd, now that to me looks like a pretty good deer...
