Oh yeah, I also missed a spike the next weekend. Thirty yards broadside. I hit a weed right before the deer and my broadhead opened up. I got hair, but no meat. Oh well, maybe next season.:)

I missed a doe at forty yards with my bow. It was a hard shot because it was through brush and the wind was blowing pretty hard. I was bored and i decided to take the shot.

I stick with the lung shot. There is too good of a chance that something will go wrong hitting a deer in the neck. I have seen several deer be lost due to poor neck shots.;)

Federal premium nosler partition seems to do very well on controlled expansion and stopping power. If you use something like the ballistic tip, you will destroy a lot more meat.;)

I have a .270 and I don't think that It does any more meat damage than the .06. It all depends on the bullet, powder charge, and shot placement. ;)
