RE: savage 93 17hmr

There is a good little trick here:

Look at the top thread "Savage Trigger Shim"

It doesn't seem to be an overly complicated...

RE: Ruger or Tikka???? which one

I debated these same 2 guns earlier this year, except the stainless/synthetic Tikka. Depending on what week it was, it would either be a Tikka....then I'd change my mind, and want a Ruger.

RE: Bushnell Elite 3200 opinions?

I bought one a few months ago, and it's great. Crystal clear, and the rain guard is a nice touch.

A great value for the money

RE: Scope fogging up!!!

I hope I misunderstood what you are trying to say here, but...

Are you saying that you use your scope to look things over rather than a pair of binoculars?

If this is the case, BUY A PAIR...

RE: savage .17hmr

I just bought a Marlin 917VS last Saturday. I've only had it to the range once. I went with three different brands of ammo, as I heard that they can be real picky on which brand they like.

All...

While you are checking out links.......

RE: Curious About Rounds

Assuming that all are shooting the same weight of bullet, trajectory wise, the 30-06 is flatter than the .308. The 300 Win mag is flatter than the 30-06.

RE: Good Rifle w/o killing the bank

Eventually, this thread will have every major rifle named on here. One will praise "their" brand, and crap on another. There may be a good reason for this, past experience, appearance, fit & feel,...

RE: welding?

Good thing. Welding arcs give off UV and Infra red rays. Usually, all you get is a sunburn, But repeated prolonged exposure can give you skin cancer.

A big thing to watch out for is arc...

I bought a stainless/synthetic one a while ago and I really love it. Accurate, I think I have had 4 or 5 jams with cheap bulk ammo.

My biggest beef with it, is the weight of the trigger pull. ...

RE: Marlin recoil for an 8 year old?

I vote for a .22 centerfire next as well. Let her get used to the noise first. The noise of a centerfire combined with recoil might be too much to get used to all at once. I went from .22LR to...
