i would say to get a improved cylinder choke if the barrel has a screw in choke and just buy a couple boxes of differnet kinds of slugs and got to the range see what workes best in that gun

i have the same gun maybe a shorter barrel but every thing else is the same I use Brenneke M.P. s the work in both rifled and smooth bore barrels and at 75 yrs i got a nice group and about 4 inches...

i have a 1300 not a defender but so far i have liked it but i have only had it for 3 yrs only thing is that it hits 3 inches low at 50 yards with the rear sight all the way down
