RE: Rossi muzzleloaders

I have had no problems with the Rossi ML, only good things said about them around the shop. Would have no problem recommending one or shooting it myself.

Sorry, the sights are kind of cheezy. ...

Don' t know Corps policy. But TVA here charges dearly if you cut a tree on their land. Did they have proper permits. Make sure...

RE: Bullet for the 25-06

Went to the Fed 100gr Ballistic Tips a few years ago and love them. Maybe too light for Mule deer, but...

RE: Scope for Remington 1187

I used a red dot on one gun and it works great out to about 100yds. All the kids in the family borrow it for their shotgun only hunts.

BSA makes a 1.5x4.5 Catseye for about $70 and we have had...

RE: .17 HMR

Guys in my shop have been shooting .17HMR all summer. No pass throughs on ground hogs or coyotes from 50yds to 305yds(except head shots). That little bullet is excellent. Much better than 22 mag. ...

RE: doe bleat in a can

The Cans WORK! Or they don' t. But all the regulars in my shop use them. One killed a nice 8 point yesterday that clearly came to the call. (BTW I told him it was too early for the can) We have...

RE: How to Hunt a Pine Thicket

Thanks

Have passed on 2 small bucks so far. They were on the brushy edge of the hardwoods bordering.

Also saw a TROPHY Copperhead! Archery season is still a little too warm for my comfort.

RE: big problems with my knight disc and ready throw it away

Knights do have a problem with regular powerbelts. The new Knight powerbelts should be great. They are made to fit the slightly oversized Knight barrels. Just found that out myself. Wondered what...

RE: Encore Accuracy Problems

Saw several Encores last year that did not group well last year and seeing occasional guns this year. Solution seemed to be to shoot them. One in particular would not shoot 6" at 100yds with...

RE: CVA OPtima-- amxi ball or power belts

RE: Ok, so I made a mistake...

CVA' s are fine. The new Optima is really good. Try powerbelts and pellets in yours and experiment in the loads. Some MZ can be finicky like high powers.

Rossi makes a great inexpensive break...

Our lease is a pine thicket. Only openings are a few small food plots and the roads planted in clover. Hard to walk through this stuff and you cant see down into it from a tripod.

Any...
