The fist season here in maine has ended and it was The worst hunting I' ve ever done. Wasn' t for lack of effort, scouting or options. Just nothing to kill. I sure hope the second season gets better....

maine' s duck season opens october 3rd. but early goose season is open from sep 2nd to i think october 1st. search maine fish and wildlife in yahoo and you can get the exact dates. good luck
