You can use any.308 Cal bullet for reloading since you don't have the tubular magazine to deal with and many bullet and powder manufacturers have loads for many different bullet weight/powder...

Thanks, I will probably give IMR 4350 a try, I have done a little reloading for my 30-30 and used IMR 3031 but I think this is a little slow for the 243

Powder for .243

I am interested in reloading for my .243 with 100 gr bullets.
What would be a good powder to use?
I use it for deer and the occasional coyote

I think if you practice, practice,practice use good bullets and shot placement and ranges under 150 yds your 30/30 will do well for deer and elk.

I have a 110 in .243 and IMHO Savage rifles are a great value.
Mine shot 1" groups out of the box.
I would recommend them to anyone.

I have a 110 in .243 with a Simmons 3-9x40 scope and love the way this rifle shoots,( <1 in. groups @100 yds).
For the money the Savage is the most accurate rifle in it' s price range.
