Odd...I've owned 2 BW LAG's (the older model longbow), have shot prolly a dozen or so others, & there was no notable handshock in any of em. They weren't great performing bows, & the grip didn't fit...

You better believe they're worth it, & then some.BW recurves are a benchmark of the industry, & for good reason; they're the absolute finest American made (wooden handled) hunting bow available. And...

IMO, if everything else is equal (bow design, arrow wt/draw wt, etc) a longer bow will always be more stable. But extra length may cost you in handiness, performance, etc...I've found that (usually)...

newman1, just a guess but you're shootingjust a touch over8gpp @ 30" & most quality high performance recurves (like your Hoyt) will shoot in the hi 180's - low 190's w/that arrow weight/draw length....
