Well, I went to the local bow shop. Hope I didn't get too hosed. They
measured me & said I should shoot a 28" draw. They said the Hoyt was a 30" & couldn't be changed. Sold me a used Pro Tech...

RE: another upgrade question..

Thanks, Mo.
That gives me confidance in spending some on this bow, rather than buying a brand new one. I'd like to give archery a try, not sure how much I'll really get into it, though. It'd be...

RE: how did everyone do dove hunting??

Not too good for me in Virginia Beach, this year. Hunted at a farmer's pay field on Sat, Mon, Tues. Fired less than a box of shells total, for six birds, over three days. A couple guys apparently...

RE: Dove Hunt: Results Thus Far

Virginia cornfields (at least in the eastern side) have not really been cut yet.
A couple of farmers have cut some for hunting purposes mostly, but I can' t justify the huge charges to hunt...

RE: Dove decoy setup

I like the fake " tree" idea. The August 2002 Outdoor Life magazine describes an easy way to build a fake " power line" as well. Was pretty easy to put together and set up. Only tried it once last...

RE: wild pigs in va

Back Bay does offer some hog hunting (no personal experience of my own) but I believe its strictly a lottery hunt. You have to apply early, like August. See the virginia game & fish web site.

Hey Pokey, you do any dove hunting in Va Beach? I discovered Bergies Dairy farm last year with a buddy. $7.00 for the day. Pretty good action last year.
