only about 40 hours...its hard i can only hunt when i get home from college on break. i have seen lots of does, only 1 4" spikey. have not seen anything i wanted to shoot.

By the way, 7.62 does not designate 7mm anything. Just to further confuse things from what nomercy said, your above mentioned rounds use a .308-.311 dia. bullet. Your 7mm's are .284 in...

hunting is the pursuit of game with the intent to kill and consume the animal, and or use its goods (hide, claws, bones..).

i think 3.5" is overkill. i shot my buddies .300RUM and that was the first centerfire rifle i shot besides my 30-30. i recoil was a lot but not bad so i figured, heck, i'll take a shot with his 3.5"...
