I don't know if there is a universal definition but COMMON SENSE is a darn good place to start.

It is great to see young hunters with a good attitude to protect our sport.

RE: Tikka T3 Lite LH .25-06, anybody know how to get one??

Way back, I bought a 700 BDL in LH and had it re barreled to 25-06. Back then before the X bullets and Ballistic tips, i found it to be very inconsistant in it's perfomance. That has been cured now...

RE: Are things beginning to loosen up?

That is partly true, The NRA and other pro gun groups used osama to scare the hell out of people. In that way, they are partly to blame as well. This hoarding will last quite a while IMO maybe for...

RE: 400 yard trophy?

RE: Just watched a Hunting show Ruger 375

No doubt about it, it's a very good round that should see a lot of us if osama lets us keep our guns. 375 H&H + performance on a shorter action.

The 303 has been used widely in Canada for elk, moose and bears. It is close to the 308 but not quite there. It has also been used for over a century in Africa. I have three of them.:D

RE: Elk: Recommend .270 or 30/06 hot/flat-shooting ammo?

Depending on the terrain, it can take you a long time to reach an animal 400-500 yards away even if you do make a perfect hit. Thats pretty risky unless you are an old hand at it. For the 270 I would...

RE: Deer rifle, 30-06, 308, or...?????

Anything from the 250 Savge on up will do fine. I shoot a 308 most of the time for deer. My all time favorites are the 250 Savage, 6.5x55, 270 and 308. I have used at least a dozen other calibers as...

RE: 30-06 vs. 270 WSM

I would pick the 30-06 or the old standard 270 Winchester Were I to go to a Magnum it would absolutely be the 300 Win Mag. The short Mags didn't do it for me and I tried them.
