RE: How do i ge rid of the Weeds?

If the weeds were taller than the plot you could use a wick applicator with roundup or 2,4-D Amine.

RE: Neck Sizing Lube ?

I've been using a small container with some 7 1/2 shot and a mixture of moly/graphite. Just dip the necks and give them a spin and they come out with a nice coat on them.

Good performing short drawlength bows ??

I've been out of the new bow shopping loop for a while now. My Hoyt Havoc shoots so well, plus I'm poor, that I've had no need for a new bow. Anyway a good friend of mine is wanting to purchase a bow...

RE: What group size is your rifle shooting?

If you're shooting a light cotoured barrel the normal procedure is to shoot 3 shot groups. Heavier barrels can stand 5 shot groups without opening up the groups. If your first three shots group well...

RE: 22-250 rate of twist

A 1 in 12 twist should stabilize bullets up to 55 grains. Sometimes there are bullets that won't stabilize when others will. Sierra Blitz Kings in 55 gr. need more twist to stabilize than other...

RE: Rifle Scope on a shotgun?

Check the eye relief specs on shotgun vs rifle scopes. I believe the reason for the scopes being designated for a shotgun is longer eye relief. The reason is the mounting systems for some shotguns...

RE: Printable Turkey Targets

http://www.vaturkey.com/target.htm This is the only target I've found that prints out the right size. I'm kinda computer illiterate so that could explain it.

RE: Any Rem 11-87 owners tried a Tru-Glo choke?

The Truglo tubes are very good. Kick's Gobblin Thunder and Comp-n-Choke are also good. The .665 diameter seems to be the best size for most folks. I compared a .660 Comp-n-choke and a Truglo choke in...

RE: Is gun camo really necessary?

Factory camo guns aren't necessary, but I'd suggest getting a matte finish for sure. A shiny finish in the sun will give you away in a hurry.

RE: home defense gun

Federal makes a special home defense shotgun load. It's a reduced load to lower recoil and lessen the risk of penetrating through walls. You might check them out.

RE: Choke Questions...?

The Strut Stopper tube should throw a pattern the size of a paper plate at 20-25 yards. The Truglo tube is one of the best on the market. You should be well pleased with the patterns.

RE: To scope, or not to scope, that is the question!

I have a Weaver V3 1-3x on my BPS. This scope does'nt have a diamond or circle reticle, but it seems to be a very good scope. The price is in between the cheap -$100 and more expensive +$200 rigs.

RE: shotgun????

You're not handicapped very much with 2 3/4" shells. Winchester XX Magnum 6's are very good turkey loads in 2 3/4". Just pattern your gun to find your maximum range.

RE: kent and fiocchi turkey loads

I've tried both and they did'nt pattern as well as Winchester shells. The Kents were better than the Fiocchi but the Win XX or HV's outperformed them.
