I would take a pass through every time, you get a much better blood trail plus you have your arrow to see the type of blood on it if you are unsure of the shot. If you hit them in the vitals good...

I use a vital gear dropaway and it works perfect it also holds my arrow in place till its drawn back 3/4 of the way back so it don't slip of the rest

freezing scents
