I stack used carpet in layers. 5 feet by 5 feet and 2 feet wide.

The trick is making a layered backstop, like the layered block targets.

Cut the carpet or padding in 2' 3" strips by how ever wide you want the backstop...

You' ll be left, then right, then left, and so on. The weight at the very last movement of the string on the shot wants to swivel the D-ring around...

I use both a no-peep and a big hole peep on the same bow. I had to invest in arrow nocks, if I shoot at the same thing, twice.
