RE: Deer and grapes?

Yes they love grapes. They come within 10 yards of my back door in the spring and summer to feast on grape vines.

RE: Opinions please!!

Just my 2 cents, but this situation to me shows the problem with "handshake" deals. It would be a lot better if everyone got their permission or lease agreement in writing and spelled out all the...

JRW, thanks for the tip, I had not thought of that either. I will go back to where I thought the deer started back tracking (the end of the trail) and start searching there again (though I have...

RE: Do you think this shot is fatal?

SW Iowa, thank you for the kind words. I was raised to be an ethical hunter. I am still fairly young (27), but so far I have lost only one deer that I wounded (this might make it 2). This is only the...

RE: Can I see a copy of your hunting lease?

Ansel you may run into a lot of problems "copying" a lease agreement. State laws concerning property rights and property interests change from state to state. Liability rules change from state to...

Interesting Spot for a Rub!

I've been blood trailing a doe I shot with my bow, and walked around a pond beside my house. There were rubs all along the bank and a few actually on trees in the water. One rub was on a tree in the...

I agree Tazman. People say deer will avoid permanent stands, but I don't agree. To me the only reason a deer will avoid an area is because it either saw, heard, or smelled a predator nearby.
