Your stand is there for a reason. The deer were probably there for a reason. I think they'll be back.

As far as stability goes, does a climber tend to be more or less stable than a hang-on model.

Do Moose snort too? On Saturday, just about sunset, I got up to leave the woods and something BIG snorted at me. It was as loud as my wife's horse. I never saw it, but you can be sure I was watching...

We had rain followed by snow followed by clod last night. Made for some loud woods this morning. Deer can't move quietly on frozen leaves either.... I could hear them from pretty far away.

I went and did some last minute scouting today. The apple trees lower branches and the ground were picked cleqan, so I gave them a good shake. Maybe that will get some action in the next couple days....

I thought that the action of the Omega is pretty ingenious, so I bought one. I sure haven't had any trouble getting it to shoot. It is my first and only blackpowder rifle though, so I can't say how...
