RE: Check out this lion hunt

Regardless of your position on the ethics of trophy or predator hunting, that has to be some of the most pathetic and embarassing footage I've seen in a long time. [:'(]

Granted the PH "saves"...

RE: Q for Len, davidmil, and other Marylanders!

Thanks for all the thoughts, fellas.

davidmil: sounds like getting the Hunting and Trapping guide is key. I got ahold of a copy of last year's (2003-04) and I guess the new one will be out in...

Q for Len, davidmil, and other Marylanders!

Hi guys!

I'm a little stunned by how many public land opportunities there seem to be in MD and how fragmented the application/permit process looks. I've got three basic questions when/if you've...

RE: which is blurry, deer or pin?

Wow! You guys and this site are a godsend. I know you don't all agree, but nowhere else could a beginner find such a wealth of experience and opinion. Thanks. :)

which is blurry, deer or pin?

Which is blurry when you get a sight picture? Everthing I read says, "pick a specific spot on the deer" which makes me think that the spot on the animal must be in focus with the pin blurred on top...

Thanks for the advice on my "Patriot good first bow?" thread. I found a 2003 60# SC on eBay and got it for $430. It came with the BowTech quiver too. This is one excited former grouse hunter! :)

RE: Bowtech Patriot a good first bow?

Thanks for all the feedback, guys.

Since I'm a shrimp (5'7"/160 lbs.) :) and my draw is somewhere between 26" and 27"--which is just a hair too short for the Pro 38/40s--I guess I'm in luck!

Bowtech Patriot a good first bow?

Assuming a price on a used one that's about 50% off new, would the Patriot be forgiving enough as a first bow?

33.75" ATA and 7.375" brace height are in the ballpark for a newbie, right? At...

RE: Andy Rooney calls bow hunting "barbaric"

Kaos,

I've NEVER seen Rooney with an earring. Maybe he wore one as a gag for one of his little complaining sessions, but could you have him confused with Ed Bradley who is also on 60 Minutes? They...
