I bought a set of the cobra 950dx and I am satisfied thus far. I have not really had an opportunity to check them for distance but I do know that they "reach-out" farther than my standard frs radios...

When you initially attach to the base of the tree, before climbing, the stand needs to slope toward the tree so that as the tree narrows as you get higher, it will level out. You have to guess how...

Has anyone messed around with using a turkey decoy in deer season as a means of distracting the deer? I have often seen turkey and deer together and wondered if this is a dumb idea!
