I'd recommend speed dip. Covers the metallic odor and more importantly protects trap from rust. Unless trapping for canines dying and waxing are unnimportant IMO except for the rust protection

they just hold and do no damage to animal if set properly. Most DNR's use foothold traps to catch animals for relocation and restocking efforts.

getting skunks out of traps isnt a problem, piece of cake! Use a couple of live traps, bait with whatever cat food they are used to eating. If ya dont want to make alot of commotion dispatching them...

I question advising a beginner to get and set 330 conibears, a VERY DANGEROUS trap for someone with no experience. Buy you some snares if legal in your area, a fraction of the cost and cant cause you...

for yotes set a 12inch loop 12 inches above the ground, cats will all go under. Use a sweet smelling bait for the coons, wont attract the cats. coons need about a 6 inch loop set 6 inches above ground

the above is good advice. For coon I prefer a #11, yotes a #3 coil, fox and mink a 1 1/2 coil and again 3/32 snares for all the above and beaver.

set a live trap, bait with marshmallows to avoid cats. once caught slowly walk up to cage and cover with blanket or towel, once covered the skunk will not spray, trust me I do this for a living! You...

removal of the beaver is your only option. Hire a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, or local beaver trapper able to obtain the needed permits or learn to trap them yourself. Destroying the dam does...

None taken. As stated above most animals are caught in water sets set on drowning wires which results in a quick humane death. Many animals caught on land are asleep when the trapper arrives....

Two very good answeres to your question! Let me stress that the pan on a trap is at best a couple square inches, you have to know your quarry extremely well to know EXACTLY where its foot will land....
