I agree with all the rest, but one thing they didn't mention.....Always tie the platfom to the climber's upper seat section with a nylon rope......Sooner or later you will drop the platform...

I agree with the rest, it depends on your cover...I like to hund 18' myself....The lower you hunt, the more scent cautious you need to be.

I clean the cable guard with alcohol ....Wax the clean guard with your favorite car wax and you will see a big difference....Keep the bow string wax away from the gurad and slide...

Check out the Summit Viper.......Some don' t like it for bow hunting but I do....The front bar gives you something to pull yourself up onto the platform and also gives you a place to rest your bow...

Most Archery shops will have some scentless oil........I have a few screws on my bow that start rusting after a rain.....The scentless oil works good...
