As stated by other members, if it's a familiar spot the deer are probably using same established trails. Life is busy sometimes and just have to enjoy it the best you can.

I think for most people it's a safety concern but competent individuals with some common sense will be fine. It will save money in the long run especially shooting certain calibers.

Great tips already mentioned, +1 on hunter safety course, it's required here in Alabama before they even issue a hunting license if your not a kid, may even be required for children now I'm not sure....
