so many variables here. Where are you hitting, what angle is the deer to you. Like teejay said are you recovering the deer. I would worry if at that distance I had a good broadside shot at the lungs...

Save your money these work just fine. Warm weather wear tennis shoes,cold weather wool sock and leather shoes or boots. works great.Cheaper version are the rubber pull ons but they only last 2 years...

IT definitely was not a low hit. Besides I'm sure a brisket hit would produce some blood on the arrow at least and the substance on the arrow was definitely not fat.
