Elk Swiss Steak

Here's a pic of my friends bull. He Shot it 1st season rifle in the Sleepy Cat area near Meeker. This is a 6 x 7 and a really nice bull for this area that gets a lot of pressure.

My advice is to be persistent and stay in the field. Not many elk are shot sitting in camp. I assume you're going in the 3rd (or 4th) season. Won't be any bugling going on but call calling may help....

LOL. I'm pretty confident it was the copper plated bullet we found. Happy to be the "elk bugler" that brought him in though. Nothing like a DIY hunt and being successful.
