RE: Mini 30

a 7.62 X 39 is basically a 30-30 with a smaller bullet. Saskatchawan eh well then you'll know it is definatly a waste of money cause it drops after 100 yards. So get something like a 270 or 25-06...

RE: Best gun for deer, moose, and elk?

RE: ???What is the killing range of the 44 rem mag??

.300 vs 7mm rem mag

I've been hearing that a 300 has less "bite" then a 7mm rem mag. I dont know if this is true and I'm not a fan of recoil. What I'm asking is pound for pound same loads and all that does a 7mm rem mag...

RE: 6.5mm-06?

Im guessing your saying a 6.5x55 swede so if you are I would agree that they need better 26 caliber guns like the 264 win mag for instance. I'd buy one.

RE: New Rifle for Beginner

If he's new he wont be able to take down a elk at 300 yards unless he's benched. Mabee a 30-06 but I dont have much experience in that field

RE: 260 Remington Vs 308 Win

I cant see it being worth your while because a .260 doesn't give you more power and at 200 yards the most the difference would be is 2 inches which is hardly noticeable when in the field

RE: Favorite type of rifle

Only used bolt and lever so my choice for dependibility and not worrying about safety is lever. However its hard to find a good lever so I'll go with bolt for now.

RE: first rifle

A yote? Is that that like a coyote? LOL oh well I would go with a 6mm model 7600 and its cheap enough since you want range and cost effectiveness.

RE: What's your favorite deer gun?

I disagree with a 30-30 because it powers out after 100 yards and doesnt really expand. So I use a model 70 winchester in .30-06 with 165 grain home made ammo and nothing has ever ran 100 yards.
