The best scope for the money is either a leupold VXII or a bushnell 4200. I personally would pick the VXII over the 4200 but that is just MHO.

Carbon will not bend and are overall more durable. The only thing you have to worry about with carbon is splintering if you hit something hard.

They have a full lifetime warranty and they are very quick about warranty work although they hardly ever need it. The gunshop i work at sells more of them...

Leupold gives you around 3/4 an inch more eye relief than any other scope on the market which will probably keep you from getting scope eye.
