In Ohio we don't have that privilege. So it'd be nice to get a closer look at a "pink mist" on a groundhog at 300 yards through a 12 or 14 power scope.

I'm looking at the Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 BDC. Amazon has it for $210 but I saw it on sale for like $169. I'm thinkin if it drops that low again, I'm gonna have to jump on it!

The bullet was facing away from me. The only way the .22 bullet would hit me would be to face me when it was fired. And the .17 bullet hitting the primer would have given the .22 round forward...
