Deer hunting with a .223

i recently bought an ar15.....was thinking of taking it deer hunting. it is legal in alabama with "mushrooming" ammo. thoughts on this....??? if you feel its ok, recommendations on ammo and grain...

i had a black jacket and no hat on once and a coyote made me out. bout 15 yards away. i firmly believe if i woulda been properly dressed it would never had seen me.

cover scent question

what if i used a spray bottle full of dear cane as a cover scent......thoughts? just occured to me because some of it spilled in my bag and i ended up thinking it might have been a good thing

thoughts on baiting deer

just wondering what some of yalls thought are on feeders ect. and baiting deer. illegal here in alabama but not in mississippi or florida. friend of mine got a $500 ticket and i know its going on....
