I always pace off 25 to 30 yards from where I think the action is gonna be, and set my stand. you can pace off your target at home and get an idea. I also pace off when hunting the edge of a field...

I use white feathers, usually 2 white and a brown and white mixed. you cant miss em, good for that low light min.It's also good for checking blood or stomach matter on your arrow after the shot....

I hunted state land the first 9 yrs of hunting, it took me 7 to kill one with a bow on state property. so I know how tough it is to hunt on state ground. congradulations to you on a really nice buck.

Ithink the more you kill the less it effects ya. like the others said its after the shot when I get worked up. I still get a lil shake but not as bad as it use to be.

I havent changed mine either I just replace the wrap when it gets cracked and busted up. I work for a electrical dist and can get the heat shrink tubing, works real good better then the oringinal..
