I blew it!!! Missed about a 160 inch12 point.... Hit a branch. My son scored his first buck. 11 points and scored 131 inches!

This year I have 23 different bucks on film/camera 3 years and older within 2 miles of my 240 acres.... I realize not all have my land as part of their home range, but one can hope!

Interesting that here in WIsconsin it always ends up being from Nov. 5th - 14th?? It really does not change much from year to year.

My 13 year old son is a Pro-Staffer for a couple of companies. They feel he is a perfect fit because of his age and his opportunity to shoot big deer with his dad!

Should be in Montana as I am typically over Labor Day... but no tag this year. Have to wait for the Sept. 15 opener here in Wisconsin and then Illinois and then Minnesota etc....

It is not a must if you want to kill young deer. The hygeine thing is the most important. If you plan on scoring on mature deer.... I feel it is an absolute must. I will wear several layers during...

Cool! That is the way I started. I now have 17 food plots with a little of everything growing. Many small ones .2-.4 acres but also a few larger ones.

Be diverse. I have 17 food plots this year and all are a little different.

Be a student. Write down when you do each step...

Deer "talk" all year long. A grunt can be effective at all times. Get some rattling antlers as well and you will have a blast "talking" to especialy the younger bucks.

Most likely frost... even on down years I have some apples on all of my apple trees. I put in 17 food plots this year, but prefer hunting my apple trees over all of them!!
