Was that from a deer? [1" in diameter and 1/4" thick]

I have used BB in a .54 cal. The460s they have a solid nose and shoot just fine, if you use a 'wad' under the bullet. The wads really helped...

The 58 is only a medium bore, large bore don't start till they shoot 400 grains of round ball.:D

your 58 will work just dandy for elk and smaller animals that don't want to eat you, for them,...

That is from an old suggested TC loading. They dropped it due to liable.[/align][/align]It is also know as "loaded for bear"[/align][/align]

My 54 likes the barrel lubed after loading for the first shot, this keeps the point of impact the same as a dirty barrel. Just be careful not to pull the bullet up the barrel when lubing afer...

If you use a small ball , you get a small holes. My seven ga. leaves an exit hole the size of a golf ball..............and my 73 cal is does a dandy job also................big balls, leave big holes!

PrintKey 2000

it lets you sellect the parts of the screen you want, you can crop what you need. Works GREAT.

Triple 7 is right about lubes changing when it gets cold, I am looking forward to trying the Moose Milk in the clold.......I still have my dry oiled patches that should work in freezing temps.

Sharp Shooter, in your Notes, make sure that you keep track of: Lube -Patch Material amd Primer Type...........so in 20 years, you can check back and see what worked and what didn't.

So your first shots a blown patches also, thought it was a quirk of my rough spots in the bore! I went to a light canvas for the first shot, it has not blown apart with moose milk on a clean barrel...
