I have the exact same Tikka t3 in .270 WSM as you do and I got a VX-II 3-9 x 50mm I love it, lots of light for those last moment shots. I'm going out to 300, 400 yards max

The first thing I did when I got it before...

The first thing I did when I got it before mounting the scope, was clean the barrel and chamber. Adjust the trigger weight, It was plenty oiled and that was it.
