On my optima pro pistol I ended up using a .020 o ring (dont quote me) and still used a little bit of teflon tape. Works like a charm. Everything is nice and flush with no blow back.

Depends on the powder. I've heard that pyro is the worst though. On the other hand I've had BH209 a year old and burn like it was made that day. Same way with my smokeless powders.
