It was killed in the Fillmore/Monroe unit which boarders the Beaver unit on the north end.
But where it came from, who knows that is still up for debate.

Me and my brother drew L.E. Beaver Elk tags this year and I was wondering if anybody here has hunted that unit or has any knowledge of the area they would be willing to share?

It has been good recently! Now if this good weather would stick around its time to do some scouting. Two weeks ago everything down there was still pretty much impassable even out on the desert.

For deer and bear a 300wsm or 270wsm would be a better choice. I own both a 325 and a 270 wsm. The 325 pretty much gets used on elk only and the 270 gets used on all the smaller stuff.

It depends on what Elk tags you are talking about. If its a general Bull Elk tag then they are over the counter, depending on the unit you choose you can hunt either spike only...
