I would definitly consider the Barnes XBT, it holds together wonderfully. I shot my bull this year with a 120 gr XBT and i was stunned at how well it held together, it went straingt through both...

You wont kill a bear by shooting its feet, as for the second and third one, Ida shot them both dead. I allways carry a bear stick (7mm)

look into a Remington ADL, in 223, good gun, inexpencive, cheap to shoot, all around winner. Also keep your eye out for a second hand one. there is plenty of relly good deals out there. hope it helps...
